As we age, our skin cells divide more slowly and the innermost layer begins to thin.
Fat cells beneath the dermis weaken and the once strong network of collagen and elastin fibres begin to unravel resulting in the skin losing elasticity and volume. The result is the appearance of lines and wrinkles and the loss of volume and shape in the face. This narrower shape and wrinkles can cause you to look older.
Only administered by one of our medical practitioners, Ellanse® is injected into areas of volume loss. Ellanse® is a biocompatible and biodegradable injectable material known as poly-L-lactic acid that naturally stimulates your cells to produce their own collagen. Collagen is the substance your body produces to give your skin a firm and youthful appearance.
