The threads dissolve after 6-8 months. Volume loss: As we get older, muscles and fat diminish which can lead to facial sagging.

How does it work

Unlike PDO threads, a Silhouette Soft® jowl lift uses special threads made from polylactic acid. These threads feature cones which attach themselves to the surrounding tissues when inserted into the skin. Like PDO threads, this allows for an instant jowl lift with no surgery.Due to their bidirectional cones, Silhouette Soft® threads also have a biostimulation effect as they encourage collagen to build up around the thread. As the threads dissolve over the next 6 to 8 months, the area will become naturally lifted by the collagen your body has produced. This results in a natural, lifted look with long lasting results.

Does it hurt?

Anaesthetic is injected to the area before treatment to ensure that the procedure is as comfortable as possible.

What will my skin look like afterwards?

You may experience some mild bruising and tenderness at the injection sites. However, this will subside.

What happens after treatment?

We suggest you avoid strenuous exercise or any activity that may increase the blood pressure for at least 48 hours.

How long before I see results?

Results are usually visible immediately and may last up to 18 months and improve over a 3 month period, depending on the individual.

What are the risks and complications?
